Fundamental Data's reply to most Tucker Countians' concerns is boiler plate drivel. Do not insult our intelligence.

Their response to the concern about light pollution reveals (willfull) ignorance or an attempt to address an issue that wasn’t asked while not addressing one that was. Not being able to SEE (emphasis mine) the data center or power plant has little to nothing to do with the light pollution it will create. Additionally, it’s pretty certain there will be more than one data center so not all of them will be built in the same low lying area as the first one.

The camel is trying to get its nose under the tent, folks. Stand firm.

So this power plant and data center are going to defy the laws of physics?

Data centers need a massive amount of cooling with liquid cooling being the most effective with optimal temps between 70°F and 75°F.

Noise doesn't just stay in one area. It diffuses over the land and anyome who thinks otherwise is…. naive.

As for light, unless you plan on having low voltage, directed light (think lamps on a the beach for turtles) it will wash out the night sky. One of the few places still left with true dark skies.

OSHA min for noise is 90dBA over a 8hr period. If you exceed then you just wear PPE and you're fine.

This is a very large power plant, which can produce as much power as the Mount Storm power plant. It is designed to power data centers. There are 299 data centers in Northern Virginia, they consume 4,400 MW of power. This plant can produce 1,650 MW pf power. With the same consumption per data center that is 110 data centers. But with AI, AI servers consume 8x more power than conventional servers, so the data centers built might only be 30 or 40.....there are too many to be hidden....I assume they would be all along the highway. These structures are massive, they employ very few people once constructed, most construction jobs would be brought in from the outside. The power plant would also have diesel tanks that hold 30,000,000 gallons of oil, to fill them just once requires 3,000 large oil trucks on our roadways....there are better places to build these plants. If the power plant is built expect these plants to immediately start popping up. There is significant demand for reliable stand along power sources to supply electricity to them.

I guess no one in those “substantial, high paying jobs” will need a toilet or drinking water and the floors will never need mopped?
